David Bennett

David has recently retired from a long career in financial services, most recently having spent 13 years at the Investment Consultancy, Redington, where he was a senior consultant advising diverse portfolio of institutional investors, Head of Investment Consulting, Chair of the Investment Strategy Committee and Board Member.

He began his career as an actuarial student at Commercial Union before moving to James Capel and then to Goldman Sachs where he spent 24 years in a variety of roles, including being a Trustee and Investment Committee member of the UK pension fund.

His current roles include being a Trustee of the Science Museum Foundation, a Director of the John Lewis Partnership Pensions Trust and a member of the Investment Committee of the BBC Pension Scheme.
