Katherine Ward

Katherine is a permanent Entrepreneur in Residence in the HealthTech team at Oxford Science Enterprises. She is responsible for spinning out multiple companies per year, taking on the role as Executive Chair and stepping back to Chair once the CEO is onboarded. Oxford Science Enterprises is a VC investing in companies that are connected to the Oxford University, science parks and Business School. She is remaining as a Growth Adviser to Healthy.io.

Katherine has worked in healthcare for over 30 years. She worked 15 years in the NHS in both provider and payer roles and spent 11 years with UnitedHealth Group where she was the Chief Executive of UnitedHealth UK. Latterly, as Chief Growth Officer for Optum International, she had responsibility for sales, account management and growth strategy for Optum in all markets outside of the US.
