Trust Engagement Committee
Our Trust Engagement Committee oversees our work as the charity for Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
The Investment Committee has full delegated authority from our board to oversee and advise on the running of our endowment.
The Committee has agreed a Distribution Rule and Investment Policy that sets out the goals of the endowment and related operational policies.
Tom is the Director of Investments at Church Commissioners for England. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Royal Sun Alliance Investment Management. He then joined Schroders and held a variety of different roles culminating in becoming Head of Investment – Multi-Manager. Furthermore, Tom is also a Board member of the Pension Protection Fund.
Sally is the founder of Acorn Capital Advisers, an independent wealth adviser. She has many years of investment, banking and management experience. Sally is Chair of Style Analytics, a Director of Waypoint Capital, and a Director of Canaccord Genuity. Previously, she was Chief Executive of Lombard Odier (UK) Ltd and Chief Executive of Schroders Private Banking. Now, Sally is a patron of Tommy’s the Baby Charity.
Wol is the Managing Partner of private equity investor Livingbridge. He holds a number of non-executive positions and he is a former Chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. In addition, Wol has been a Governor at the London School of Economics and Political Science since 2002, and became Chairman of the Charity in October 2015.
Yasemin is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for higher risk strategies at CDC Group. Previously, she covered Digital Identity and Innovation at Omidyar Network, and served in several roles at J.P. Morgan in London across derivatives and impact investing. Furthermore, Yasemin earned a Master of Science with merit in financial mathematics from King’s College London.
Gerald Kaye, BSc (Est Man) FRICS, was appointed Chief Executive of Helical in July 2016. Previously, he worked as President of the British Council for Offices, a Director of London & Edinburgh Trust Plc and as Chief Executive of SPP. LET. EUROPE NV.
William joined Schroders in 1989 and began his investment career in 1985 after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor with Drivers Jonas. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a member of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and a past chairman of the Association of Real Estate Funds.
Emile van Dijk is the founder and owner of BlueCloud Capital, a quantitative trading firm in global financial markets. He has more than 20 years’ experience in trading and structuring across different financial products and worked 15 years at Goldman Sachs.
