Unlocking the potential for cities to be healthier
Helping urban areas become healthier places to live in through Impact on Urban Health.
Impact on Urban Health, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation, recently asked a Year 6 group from Southwark what they want the future of our cities to look like.
They live in a city. They go to school in a city. They walk to school, play, eat, sleep, breathe in a city. So urban life can affect their health.
They imagined a future that was better. A healthier city:
Health is hugely influenced by where we grow up, live and work. And in urban areas, we see the best and worst health outcomes, often just streets away from each other.
We are building the foundations of a society that helps everyone stay healthier, for longer.
Read how, through Impact on Urban Health, we’re investing in and working in partnership with other organisations to make urban areas healthier places for everyone to live.
Brighter futures are built in childhood.
If they can imagine it, you can invest in it.
